This is Part 1 of “How to Teach Your Dog to Enjoy Taking a Bath.” The video was so long, that Youtube made me cut it into two parts. Don’t forget to check out Part 2 (which is a video response to this video).
This is my first intructional video:)! This video took so much time and editing, but it was well worth it:). We had a lot of fun making the video. I created this technique for my own dog Kaine, who, believe it or not, used to H-A-T-E taking a bath. I used positive reinforcement combined with the clicker to teach Kaine to L-O-V-E taking a bath instead. He now loves taking a bath so much, he actually jumped into the shower when I turned the water on!
This method is a hands-off approach to teaching your dog to enjoy the bathing experience.
I want to thank my sister for letting me use her crazy Jack Russell Terrier, Jesse, for many of the scenes. The two Labradors belong to my parents and the little Chihuahua is a foster that goes to his forever home today.
The two Beagles are some of Kaine’s pup pals that we pet sit for.

At 14wks, German Shepherd puppy, Cooper, needs to practice basic obedience in all conditions. This is his first time seeing snow. He has learned a lot in the past 3 weeks. We worked on his basic commands of: come, sit, down, stay, talk (1 bark), tell me (2+ barks).
